For Carlos Sainz and his family, the world stood still as they lost a beloved member of their family. Antonio Sainz Rebollo, Sainz’s grandfather passed away aged 97 on July 12th, 2023. Many would know Carlos Sainz Sr. as a bonified racing legend. However, a great deal of support, motivation, and love for racing came from the late gentleman. Not just to Sainz Sr. but the late Antonio Sainz Rebollo served as a motivation for Sainz Jr. as well. This is exactly why the Spaniard made a bold claim for the upcoming Hungarian GP despite the favoritism toward Charles Leclerc.

Despite that, Sainz is aiming high for a podium, at least, for the Hungarian GP. Sainz is getting the motivation to secure a podium so he can dedicate it to his late grandfather.
