Christian Horner said Las Vegas GP will be the “Biggest sporting event on the globe” and he perhaps is not wrong. Formula 1 is on a steep upward rise in terms of popularity in the United States of America. While we are all aware that the new audience can be attributed to Drive to Survive revolution, the love stands reciprocated. With millions of new fans, the land of stars and stripes will have a whooping three Grand Prix this year. However, the money-minting techniques of the governing body have come into question due to the latest revelation.
The city known for its slot machines, world-class gaming, and unparalleled hospitality experience is set to host its first GP in 2023. And the work to make the event the best ever had already begun a few months ago as the hype train left the station. In addition to several drivers visiting the circuit and taking their beastly machines for a ride, several interesting collaborations have also poured in. It was predicted that the approximate revenue that the said GP will generate is going to be around $1.3 billion. And while that already points towards a successful projection, F1 has now pulled off an unreasonable ticket price move.
.@F1LasVegas says it sold out of $500 GA tickets for this year, and it only put 1,800 on sale due to potential space constraints @MSGSphere, per source.

Adam Stern of Sports Business Journal took to his official Twitter account to post an unbelievable move of F1. The General Admissions ticket for the Las Vegas GP stand sold out, and they were already limited in number due to potential space constraints. However, the hard-to-believe bit is the second GA area whose tickets will go live in a few months and won’t have any track view.
Fans call out F1’s selfish intention ahead of the Las Vegas GP
The outlandish rate of prices and for what? Not being able to watch the race? The fans have come out in clear protest to call out F1, who apparently “only cares about the rich”. Take a look at a few other comments from F1 Twitter:
F1 becomes more of a joke day after day

So why even bother going? Once again @F1 only cares about the rich. Not the common folk.

Without track views? This event is a joke.
— Jack (could be worse) (@jacklb25) March 24, 2023
…race tickets where you cant see the race? If thats what that means screw that.
— Hellphish89 (@hellphish89) March 24, 2023
I can not see the racetrack from my house for free.
— Jess 🇺🇦 (@MirrorMan_jls) March 24, 2023
And there’s gonna be 30,000 people who buy an expensive ticket to not even see the track 🤦♂️
