While many think that the 7X Champ is worried about Russell after the performances that he has strung together, Peter Windsor suggests otherwise. He advises that Lewis Hamilton isn’t worried about the 25-year-old. Windsor explains how the 38-year-old has handled himself very well during this tough time and yet managed to do pretty well against the top-notch Russell. Hamilton needs the right car that can give at least a glance of fighting for the title and the Briton will definitely step up as we’ve seen before.
According to a video uploaded on Peter Windsor’s YouTube channel, he said “Lewis is not worried about George. I don’t like seeing it because I don’t think a guy that good, you know, it’s not very dignified, is it? But having said that, I think he’s handled himself very well. As I’ve said many times here, you know Lewis, given all the road dust he has and the seven world championships and everything else, he’s done pretty well against that hotshot George Russell.”
As many, including Nico Rosberg, suggest, Lewis Hamilton always comes back with a bigger bang after a fall. If there’s anyone on the grid who can beat Russell, it’s definitely him. However, for Hamilton to come back, Mercedes needs to provide the appropriate machine. As the Silver Arrows come to Monaco with a huge update, Lewis opens up about his expectations.

Monaco isn’t the best place to bring upgrades to a car. The high possibility of a crash means risking the upgrades. Also, the track is one of a kind and the performance will not reflect the true effect of the upgrades. Nevertheless, Lewis Hamilton expects Barcelona to tell the reality and is really excited about the prospects of feeling something different with the car. Something that might actually suit his driving style.
According to SkySports.com, Lewis Hamilton said “It’s not a downforce assessing circuit, it’s very bumpy, the car’s pretty soft, there’s lots of roll and also mechanical grip is super important here. I think Barcelona will be the place where we get the best reading. I think we have to tread carefully this weekend to make sure we don’t get blindsided by different results. But nonetheless, I’m still excited, I’m excited to feel something different. I don’t know what it’s going to be, more rear-end, more front-end.”
