Lewis Hamilton and Neymar Jr. have a lot in common—they’re both one of the best competitors in their respective sports, they’re both fashionistas, and they’re both good buddies, so much so that the footballer got himself a seat fit in the W14 in Monaco. But one common aspect no one saw coming was their involvement with the same Instagram model. Who is she? Celeste Bright. 

In August last year, Neymar and his girlfriend, Bruna Biancardi, broke up after allegations about Neymar cheating on her were making the rounds. This was after Bright exposed him for texting her even though he was in a relationship. But from the looks of it, the Brazilian footballer is back together with Bruna, and all is well with them. But recently, someone else allegedly slid into Bright’s DMs. Who was it? Lewis Hamilton.

Hamilton has been rumored to be dating Colombian popstar Shakira since the Spanish GP this season. The two have been spotted together multiple times since then, attending dinners with friends. With rumors getting stronger, the supposed couple had shippers supporting the union. But a few people in Shakira’s close circle didn’t approve and compared Hamilton to her ex, Gerard Pique, and called him a “womanizer.” Neither Hamilton nor Shakira confirmed the relationship, and the rumors started dying. And as far as Lewis is concerned, he’s still single, keeping his status under wraps.

Bright shared a picture of her DMs which showed a message from Hamilton’s Instagram account. While posting the picture, she captioned, “Another DM but at least this one is single. Good man.” She referenced Neymar texting her when he was in a relationship. 

Lewis hasn’t opened up about the situation, but it seems to have been taken off his plate. After Bright posted the screenshot on her story, her account was deleted or taken down. She received a lot of flak from Lewis fans for exposing him.

While taking down her account could’ve been her choice, it may very well have been the doing of the seven-time world champion’s PR team. But the question remains: Is Hamilton single, or are he and Shakira in a relationship?

While mostly everyone thinks he’s still single, the rumors about him and Shakira never died down completely. There are still Shakira and Lewis shippers out there who believe they are in a relationship. 

One of them is a journalist close to Shakira, Jordi Martin. According to him, as quoted by marca.com, “Hamilton and Shakira are planning to go on holiday together, and I already know the destination. It’s a Caribbean country, a short trip of about an hour.” The F1 community will eventually find out whether the rumors are true.
