Sebastian Vettel is one of the most known faces in F1, having won the championship four times in a row as a young and fierce driver with Red Bull. In his career in Formula 1, he was always a force to be reckoned with, even if the machine under his control wasn’t supportive. But now that he has retired, people keep a watch on his movements, tracking where he’d go or what he’d do. But for now, the German has hinted at his new possible adventure, which he may start soon.

Vettel, however, before starting the new journey, wants a break—a good relaxing time after a tiring 16 years in F1. Before revealing his new plans, as quoted by Formula1.com, he said, “I think naturally you do look at other stuff. I don’t know yet, is the answer. I think I quite look forward to the idea of nothing, at first, and then see what it does to me. I mean, there are lots of other things in my head as well. Other interests and ideas outside racing.”

For the driver, there are plenty of opportunities outside of F1 and racing, given his standing on social and environmental issues. Once speculated to be returning to a managerial role in the paddock, Vettel didn’t mention it anywhere. Instead, he expressed his likeness for rallying, adding, “I always liked, for some reason, rallying. But I can see it’s a major challenge, because it’s so different to what we do in, let’s say, classic circuit racing. So I don’t know. We’ll see.”

Keeping his options open for the future, he said, “I see it [retirement] as an opportunity to learn a lot about myself and to put myself in exactly that position that I haven’t been before and I’m not comfortable with, because I think the truth is, after so many years, we know how to do this job, I don’t want to say asleep, because that’s arrogant, but I would say with a lot of routine and a lot of experience.”
