George Russell’s time at Mercedes had been more than great during the first season, where he comfortably outperformed his teammate Lewis Hamilton. It was his incredible consistency that had won him the battle on track. But there’s one more place where he has been absolutely consistent, and that is in his love life with his girlfriend, Carmen Mundt.

The Mercedes driver has been with Mundt, an investment broker, since 2020. The couple has been official since then and has made public appearances on several racing weekends and trips, making them one of the most dynamic couples in the paddock. Carmen is said to be extremely strong as a partner, so much so that even the team’s boss, Toto Wolff, complimented her.

Recently, George and Carmen were on a trip ahead of the 2023 season, which George shared several photos and videos of. But when it comes to expressing love, the Mercedes driver falls short of words but still conveys everything simply. On his girlfriend’s 25th birthday, George shared a story on Instagram just captioned, “Happy Birthday my love❤️”.

The driver has never shied away from complimenting his partner elaborately, so the message might seem short to many fans. But maybe the added birthday pressure is just putting some strain on our pressure-proof driver. 

George Russell and his girlfriend love vacations

The couple takes vacations together from time to time and, regardless, spends a lot of time with each other. They are a power couple for a reason. In January 2022, the couple was spotted on the beach of the French-speaking Caribbean island of St. Barts. And then later, in August 2022, the couple ran off to the Spanish island of Mallorca, which Russell informed by captioning a photo: “Holiday mode activated. See you all in a few weeks.”

They also shared their snaps from a snowy trip to the supposed Ice Drive Sweden with the Mercedes team, where Carmen posted a photo of a stuck Mercedes AMG GT and captioned her photo referring to George saying: “My ice driving instructor is losing patience with me…”

Other than their most recent vacation—an unknown place in the UK itself—the couple also toured Italy in December. Understandably, the driver visited the Leaning Tower of Pisa and had authentic Italian pasta and coffee with his girlfriend.
