Alpine CEO, Laurent Rossi, made a public spectacle of the team’s dirty laundry as he vocalized his disappointment with his team. While Alpine was the best of the rest last year, this year with a tumultuous start of the campaign, they were inching towards becoming the last of the rest. However, after overcoming unfortunate incidents, and arriving at the Principality, the tides of time seem to have taken a turn with Esteban Ocon blazing the track during the Monaco qualifying.

For a brief moment, right before Q3 ended, Ocon had the pole. However, with a close fight, the man was set to start P4 in the grid, but as Monaco Curse hit Charles Leclerc, Ocon got promoted to spectacular P3 on the grid. And this perhaps is a befitting response to very public bashing.

As quoted by Soy Motors, he said, “I think we’ve been building a solid weekend. It’s been a great team effort.” He added, “Yes, it has been a bit disappointing because they have thrown us out at the last moment. But we made the choice to start a little earlier than the rivals to avoid a possible yellow flag, as happened in Miami. But it has been a good qualifying and there will be to finish tomorrow.”
