Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen had multiple exchanges of words during the 2021 season. However, ever since Red Bull started dominating, both Hamilton and Verstappen seemed to have mellowed down a bit. Nonetheless, the Dutchman unapologetically embraces his F1 dominance just 6 days after Lewis Hamilton’s empty warning. Are we going to get some drama like the 2021 season?

Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton aren’t as obvious when it comes to firing shots at the other team when compared to their Team Principals. Hamilton cheekily issued a warning toward Verstappen as he explained how leading by miles and being so far ahead feels empty. He added how having a fight for the win or coming back from behind to win is what drivers live for.

Lewis Hamilton was indirectly pointing toward Max Verstappen’s dominance as he warned the Dutchman about the feeling of emptiness if he continues to win by a country mile. Now, only 6 days after Lewis Hamilton’s “empty” warning, the Red Bull champ embraced his dominance and suggested that he was here to win and that winning isn’t boring for him. Knowing the fact that he cannot win is boring for him.

According to Formula1.com, Max Verstappen told F1 presenter Lawrence Barretto in a chat at Spa-Francorchamps, “That [Winning easily] actually doesn’t make it boring. That’s why I’m here. I want to be here. I want to win. To be upfront. It’s what makes it a lot more enjoyable to come to a race weekend. Knowing that you can’t win, you have no chance – that’s boring for me. This is the opposite.”

Max felt more in line as a reply to Hamilton’s warning rather than making a statement for himself. Regardless, Lewis Hamilton while warning Verstappen mentioned how he’s enjoying competing with cars this year.

Lewis Hamilton was the dominant force prior to Max Verstappen. Many times the Briton would run away and finish a postcode ahead. However that isn’t the case anymore and Mercedes battles the likes of Ferrari, McLaren, and Aston Martin. Hamilton suggested that he likes racing against this group as it makes it interesting. However, reaching the top once again is the ultimate goal.

According to RTBF.be, Lewis Hamilton said “I would say that I enjoy racing a lot more now than I did then, because I race in a peloton. But of course, the goal is to get where he is. I think for our sport the goal is to be closer.” [Translated Via Google]
