During the Canadian Grand Prix, Lando Norris led the race for the mid-game, only to lose his lead to Max Verstappen. This happened due to an ill-timed pit stop and a safety car that triggered it. Towards the end, although Norris was catching up, Verstappen increased the gap between the two as the McLaren driver was stuck in a battle against George Russell’s Mercedes.

In the end, it was a bittersweet P2 for Norris, as he missed out on the win by being the race leader. Drivers make short and quick swerves while following the safety car to heat their tires, which often go cold due to the reduced speeds. After the Canadian Grand Prix, Romeo Beckham posted an Instagram story to playfully make fun of Norris’ safety car incident. What you may not know here is that the Brentford FC player is friends with Norris and the two have been seen joking around with each other on Instagram. So when Beckham Jr. posted the story, it was taken as a good sport. Lando Norris is one of the more cheerful drivers on the grid, and he can take a joke.
