Daniel Ricciardo took Formula 1 by storm after he announced his decision to leave McLaren. Ricciardo joined McLaren from Renault in 2021 after having a stellar season with the French constructors. However, his McLaren stint has not gone as well as he’d have hoped for. Hence, both parties agreed to mutually terminate the contract at the end of this calendar year.

Amid all this, F1 Twitter was not happy as they spotted Daniel Ricciardo sitting alone in a corner with his headphones on. A viral video shared on Twitter is making rounds after Danny Ric is spotted sulking in a supposed pre-race event, while all the other drivers are enjoying a nice conversation.

Ricciardo fans were quick to console their favorite driver. They took to Twitter and shared a ‘collective group hug’.

Some fans, however, thought otherwise that the Australian sitting alone was not a bad thing and that he was only trying to get in his zone.

Daniel Ricciardo won’t swap F1 for anything

Daniel Ricciardo is one of the nicest blokes in Formula 1. Naturally, he has a huge fan following because of his jolly nature. The honey badger is always smiling and exhibits positive energy which makes him so popular. Although he has not yet decided which team he’ll be joining, there will be a number of suitors for the 8 GP winner.

Daniel said, “If it’s anything it’s F1, that’s the only place I see myself racing in the near future. So that’s something I’m sure of at least what I want.”

“But I want to see. This weekend’s been a bit of a wave and we’re into a triple-header so I feel like the next three weeks are going to be relentless. Not necessarily on this topic, but just as a schedule.

“So, I want to get these three under my belt and then see how I feel.”

The Australian driver started from P7 in today’s race at Spa but could only muster P15 at the end. He’ll be looking to climb up the standings in the upcoming double header at Zandvoort and Monza, where he won last year. He’ll also look to show McLaren exactly what they are going to miss out without him.
