For the F1 world, the unceremonious ousting of Daniel Ricciardo by McLaren was one of the most painful things to watch in 2022. The smiling beast was given a boot and was traded for his compatriot rookie, Oscar Piastri. While that is ancient history, the news on the block is that the subpar performance was not really Ricciardo’s fault, as the only team that seems to have made the incorrect developmental step is McLaren. And while the world may be divided between the two men from down under, they are united in calling out the Woking based outfit.

On one hand, there were likes of Red Bull’s Max Verstappen, saying that the RB19 is an improved version of last year’s car, and the world also visibly noticed the monumental strides made by Aston Martin and on the other, there was the McLaren “tractor” which barely made it out of Q1. The horror show put up by the Papaya team has finally, after months of misery, given Honey Badger fans a sigh of relief that it was a win-win situation for him. The man got a severance allowance of $18 million and didn’t even have to drive the developmental disaster manufactured at Woking.

While the fans might have gotten the incorrect amount in their comments, as the severance was $18 million, their emotions for the senior Australian’s treatment were on point.

A few were quick to defend the new recruit of McLaren as they didn’t think it fair to compare the newbie’s skills to that of an 8x Grand Prix winner.
