Red Bull completely owned the year as the team, as it not only won the driver’s championship but also won the constructor’s championship after nine years. Both the Milton Keynes drivers this year have amply demonstrated their abilities. However, it appears that Sergio Perez‘s position is potentially under threat now that Daniel Ricciardo has joined the Red Bull camp.

A few months ago, McLaren made the decision to sever connections with the flamboyant Australian owing to the disappointing stint with the team that had left him without a seat. Later, Daniel Ricciardo had a number of opportunities to join other teams, but he chose to return to his “home” team as a reserve driver. Although the news has gained widespread attention, the audience has developed a keen interest in what’s happening in the Red Bull garage, and an ex-Indian F1 driver has also shared his intrigue on the same matter. In an interview with Skysports Karun Chandhok said, ” The fight between Checo and Daniel for the seat in 2024 will be interesting. I’m especially curious to see how the team will evaluate Daniel. They can put him in the simulator, but that doesn’t compare to the real thing. Maybe Red Bull will give him a test chance. I do want to see how they assess Daniel today.”

Christian Horner clears Daniel Ricciardo’s role in Red Bull

Daniel Ricciardo entered Formula 1 through the junior red bull program. Clearing why Red Bull bid for Ricciardo, Horner said, “We felt it was right to bring him back into the team–and of course, promotionally, he’s got the biggest smile in Formula 1. For him, he will be able to get back to having fun and rediscover his enjoyment of being a Formula 1 driver, rather than the stress he has had over the last couple of years.”
