Daniel Ricciardo Praises McLaren for Special Strength: “More Power Than Being the Driver”

The Australian driver, Daniel Ricciardo, is aiming to have a successful season at Mclaren, one where he can freely express himself and have more of a presence in the Woking-based team, something he may not have experienced at his previous teams.

In a team, it’s crucial to fully express yourself and give opinions is necessary to have success on the track. The driver needs to constantly communicate with his team to get the most out of the car. Hence Ricciardo wants to play a bigger role at Mclaren and where his voice will be heard.

The Honey Badger drove the new MCL35M around the track at Silverstone. He gave his feedback and hoping that he can more of an impact on the Woking-based team rather than just a driver.

Daniel Ricciardo to make his presence felt at Mclaren

Ricciardo said, “It’s feeling like you’re sitting in a room with a voice I guess and with enough knowledge that what you say will be taken on board.So I think that whole integration into all areas of the race team, that’s got a lot more power than being the driver and only the driver.”

He added, ” I think that feeling like you can sit in every room and have a presence, that’s the most important and also the difficult thing to get going.”

The Australian driver hopes to play a significant role at Mclaren and hopes there is good communication going both ways and expects to have an exceptional year at Mclaren ahead of the upcoming season of Formula One.

Mclaren have high hopes for 2021 with Danny Ric behind the wheel

The Woking-based team finished 3rd in the constructor’s championship because of outstanding performance by Norris and Sainz. The team has brought a Grand Prix in the form of Ricciardo winner and hopes to fight for the title. Moreover, Mclaren will have the power of a Mercedes engine for the new season.

Ricciardo & Norris will partner up on the grid for 2021 and hope they deliver podiums and wins for the team. The duo is an exciting talent to have behind the wheel and will put a battle for the top three.

The opening race in Bahrain on the 28th of March will see Ricciardo make his debut for Mclaren. The Australian is excited, motivated, and thinks it is the only chance at winning the championship and will do everything he can to achieve it.
