Daniel Ricciardo after the chaotic round of pit stops at the Belgium Sprint found himself in the points. The Australian did try to put up a fight with George Russell to keep the precious point with himself but wasn’t able to. After the race, Ricciardo revealed AlphaTauri’s biggest weakness that cost him and his team that point against George Russell. What is this weakness?
Daniel Ricciardo made a comeback to F1 with AlphaTauri after Nyck de Vries was sacked. Ever since joining the team, the Australian has been showcasing why he is one of the best in the world and is rated so highly by Red Bull. Even Yuki Tsunoda suggested that he’s learning a lot from Ricciardo as he has loads of experience.

The Honey Badger got a chance to score a valuable point for his team at the Belgium GP sprint. AlphaTauri is fighting at the backend of the field and any points mean a lot to those teams. Daniel Ricciardo revealed that he was able to keep up with the likes of McLaren and Ferrari. However, then He revealed AlphaTauri’s biggest weakness. He suggested that it was the tire degradation because of which he lost pace and the point scoring 8th place to Russell.
According to @Mereeedith’s Tweet, Daniel Ricciardo said “It was looking pretty good, relative to some cars around me. I felt like I was able to stay in [Lando Norris’] range for a few laps and I could see the Ferrari ahead not making a crazy gap. But it started to become really tricky. Couldn’t hold the tires.”
Nonetheless, the Main race is still there and that’s where the majority of the points are scored. Let’s see how Daniel Ricciardo’s comeback with AlphaTauri has been so far.
Daniel Ricciardo impressed everyone with his F1 return

Daniel Ricciardo took the Pirelli Tire Test for Red Bull. Looking at his blistering pace, Christian Horner and Helmut Marko were surprised and impressed. In his first race back at the Hungarian GP, Daniel Ricciardo out-qualified his teammate and went on to outperform him in the race as well finishing P13.
Many fans were surprised. Yuki Tsunoda has been putting on some wonderful performances this year and knows the AlphaTauri machine very well. Yet, Daniel Ricciardo just came and went quicker than him. Unfortunately, Ricciardo didn’t make it to Q2 at the Belgium GP qualifying as his fastest lap was deleted for track limits.
