Formula 1 has only started seeing full-blown bromances. Sainz-Norris and Leclerc-Sainz come to mind when we think about the most wholesome teammate pairings. However, we’ve seen some hyped-up relationships fail as well. Lando Norris and Daniel Ricciardo might be on that list.

Lando Norris and Daniel Ricciardo may be cordial, however, they’ve possibly failed to live up to the hype created around their pairing. On ‘The Last Lap’ podcast, Jess McFadyen tried to break down why F1’s most promising bromance never materialized.

While talking about Norris‘ attitude towards teammate Ricciardo, McFadyen said, “It felt like Lando was a bit standoffish.”

She then went on to explain why she felt their relationship never worked out. “I think because everybody wanted this thing to happen.”

Lando Norris doesn’t particularly help his case when it comes to not being sympathetic to Daniel Ricciardo. And now, he has come out with a declaration that will surely raise an eyebrow or two.

Lando Norris says he believes the 2022 car suits Daniel Ricciardo “a lot more” in a sly jab at the Australian

Lando Norris has consistently outclassed teammate Daniel Ricciardo in 2022. Ricciardo’s time at McLaren has been so tumultuous that it has led to him being axed from the team at the end of 2022. His teammate has now claimed that he has outperformed the Australian in machinery that suits Ricciardo more.

Norris said, “There have been things said that he doesn’t suit the car, and everyone thinks that I do suit the car and the car is made around me and all of that stuff, but it couldn’t be more untrue.”

He went on to claim that the car has actually suited Ricciardo’s style more. “I would say at the beginning of the year it suited Daniel a lot more than it suited me in terms of how you had to drive it.“.
