Lewis Hamilton is arguably the most noticeable Formula One driver in the world currently. The 7-time world champion has broken almost every single record there is in the sport. But he recently revealed that other than Formula One, his other love is motorbikes.

Hamilton mentioned that he would have loved to race competitively on motorbikes and could have joined MotoGP. But he quickly mentioned that he is happy that he chose Formula One over MotoGP as he would have been less successful against Valentino Rossi.

He and Rossi are good friends and often showcase their support to one another. Lewis even wished Vale on his retirement recently on social media. Recently, during an IWC event, both drivers were reunited and spoke fondly about the day when they swapped rides with each other.

Lewis Hamilton remembers riding Valentino Rossi’s bike in Valencia

As reported by Sky Sports, in 2019, we found both Lewis Hamilton and Valentino Rossi on a track in Valencia driving each other’s rides. Since both Rossi and Hamilton endorse the brand Monster Energy, they got an opportunity through the energy drink brand.

In a recent interview, the Mercedes driver reminisced about the day and recalled his lifelong dream of riding a motorbike. He said, “I had the privilege of doing that bike and car swap day with Vale in Valencia. It was a real dream come true for me just to experience a MotoGP bike and be on track with the legend himself. It was very surreal, probably the coolest day ever.”

But they need to speed up the development of their cars before they fall back in the title race. Let’s see how they perform when F1 returns to Australia next week.
