We currently have the world in the palm of our hands’ thanks to the internet. Although, every positive element has its own negative aspect attached to it. Precisely why we cannot believe everything on the internet as even Lewis Hamilton has been a victim of fake news in the past.

Today, we are talking about a similar ambiguous element on the internet. In the past day or so, someone is creating multiple Instagram accounts for most of the drivers on the grid. These accounts do not have any description or information regarding the purpose of the page. The bios on said pages just say “by” followed by the Instagram username of the driver.

Initially, just Lewis Hamilton and George Russell’s pages surfaced, but others followed. The accounts with the username “plus44world” and “plus63world” denote the driver numbers of the two Mercedes men. However, there is no additional information on these pages apart from the ambiguous bio.

This leaves us to speculate about what the pages are about. The initial assumption is that these are fake Instagram accounts looking to generate false hype for social media gains. However, there is one factor that gives Hamilton’s “Plus44world” authenticity. It’s the fact that Lewis Hamilton’s official Instagram page follows “Plus44world”.

This brings us to our second assumption. This could be a directive from the FIA or F1 to spread awareness about a particular issue, or another marketing strategy being deployed. Although, what does Twitter think?

The Twitter fandom is as curious as we are and everyone is speculating on the authenticity of the pages. Regardless, these random profiles have sent fans into a frenzy as the lack of information surrounding them has now led to conspiracies.

Curiosity is spreading like wildfire, but no one has any answers.

This is surely becoming the new obsession of the F1 fandom and we can’t blame them. These curious new Instagram accounts have everyone assuming the same thing, NFTs!

Although we should all find out the purpose of these accounts sooner rather than later.
