We often see a churning in F1 during the off-season as it is the time for drivers’ transfers. However, the hiatus between the 2022 and the 2023 seasons has turned out quite differently. Ever since the news of Ferrari team principal, Mattia Binotto’s resignation, the team boss’ transfer market is buzzing and fans are having a field day with conspiracy theories.

Ever since Mattia Binotto tendered his resignation, rumor mills were rife with gossip of Alfa Romeo boss Frederic Vasseur, ready to replace him. However, as news of Williams’ team principal, Jost Capito, rumors of him taking up the job at Ferrari started doing the rounds of the internet.

Just as the F1 world was starting to make peace with the unexpected exit of Jost Capito, the news of Frederic Vasseur leaving Alfa Romeo the next month broke. Soon followed Ferrari’s announcement that Vasseur will join them on January 2023.

And before you even think of taking a breather, McLaren boss Andreas Seidl has quit his McLaren job and taken up the role of Alfa Romeo’s CEO. Seidl will take up his duties in January, as per Sauber Group’s official website. Andrea Stella, the team’s former race engineer, will replace Seidl.

Alright now, this one is interesting. If we really are having a crazy team boss’ transfer streak, why not bring back former Renault team principal Cyril Abiteboul? Imagine what next year’s Drive to Survive would be like.
