Sebastian Vettel has always been more than just a racing driver. The 4x Champion always showed great racing intellect, a testament being his record-breaking Formula 1 career. But more often than not, off the track, he’s been as witty and charming as anyone can be.

Now that his Formula 1 career is over, he attended probably his last-ever Autosport Award night. That being said, he quickly rolled back the years with a brilliantly funny monologue that left the people in attendance in stitches.

Social media is a crazy thing, though. Vettel‘s hilarious monologue soon went viral on Twitter. The German was supposedly miffed that his team, Aston Martin, auctioned his car’s sidepod and didn’t let him know! But little did they know that he had a surprise in store for the team.

Vettel bid an emotional farewell to the sport and his fans after the 2022 Abu Dhabi GP. For his illustrious F1 career, he was awarded the ‘Lifetime Achievement’ award by the BRDC. But what capped this highly special night for him and his fans was the light-hearted and witty way he ended the night. Never change, Seb!

Vettel’s had a habit of treating the Autosport Awards as somewhat of an open mic night. That being said, the fans didn’t mind that one bit and lapped it all up. As soon as the video went viral, they stormed the social media platform to swoon over their favorite World Champion.
