For fans of F1 who like to indulge themselves more in the sport, the yearly launch of the F1 game by Codemasters serves as an experience enricher. The F1 video game allows fans to realize their dreams of becoming F1 drivers from the comfort of their home. However, the latest iteration of the game, unfortunately, will not contain the hotly anticipated track in Turkey.

The Turkish Grand Prix at Istanbul Park circuit joined the F1 calendar last year as a replacement race. And it was placed on the standby list for 2021, until recently. With F1 now confirming the thrilling venue will host a race this year as well, replacing the Canadian GP which had to be scrapped, fans hoped that the Istanbul Park circuit will make its way into the game as well.

Unfortunately, that’s not the case. Since the game is only three months away from its launch (16th July), there’s hardly any time to make the change. Fans would have noted that it typically takes a long time for Codemasters to make a virtual circuit, or even update an existing one for that matter. After all, they do try to make the game look as realistic as possible.

However, there remains hope, that by the end of the season, the 2021 F1 game gets the circuit added in the post-release updates.

What new features are part of the 2021 F1 game?

Although the game will not have the Turkish GP venue, fans will be able to race on three new circuits, namely Imola, Portimao, and Jeddah.

Moreover, the latest version of the game will also include a story mode called Breaking Point. Playing as a character called Devon Buttler, fans will be able to take on an epic journey as they try to attain stardom at the pinnacle of motorsports.

The inclusion of a story mode can be attributed to EA Sports’ takeover of Codemasters. Fans who would have played the famous FIFA video game franchise will be no stranger to the story mode.

It appears fans are definitely in for a treat with the F1 2021 video game. However, before the game launches, there’s a fair bit of real-life F1 action that will keep fans occupied.
