Since the beginning of sports, comparisons have always accompanied the people involved, and they are most visible in competitive events like Formula 1. Since Max Verstappen won his first title in 2021, the supporters have split into two groups: one loves the Dutchman, and the other backs Lewis Hamilton. However, Fernando Alonso has created a whole new fan base because of his heroics at Aston Martin this year. In the midst of this, the question of who would be the best if these drivers had the same machinery is being debated. A former Michael Schumacher boss has decided to voice his opinion and made clear who might be the winner.
Max Verstappen, who dominated last season, is currently in great shape and is probably the favorite to win the 2023 championship. On the other side, Lewis Hamilton’s issue is just getting worse. Since the Silver Arrows are unable to develop a quick car for the second season in a row.

He said, “At the moment, I’d say that Max Verstappen would still win if Lewis Hamilton, Charles Leclerc and Fernando Alonso were in equal machinery. Verstappen has a new inner belief of himself and will continue to improve.”

After the regulations were changed, Red Bull figured out how to crack the code, whereas Mercedes struggled with a number of problems, the most significant of which was porpoising. Hamilton has faced a number of issues with his W-14, which prompted him to make the comment that he hasn’t been able to get “comfortable” with the new automobile. Referring to that, the 74-year-old said, “I mean the car does limit us. I think for anyone that’s further back in the order they are limited by the machinery they have. If we all had the same car, no matter which one it was, you would see a better reflection of each driver, but that’s obviously not the case.”
