Red Bull has a knack for taking credit at every possible opportunity they get. Helmut Marko recently suggested that he tipped Niki Lauda about Lewis Hamilton deciding to leave Red Bull. Christian Horner is the one who has come out this time to make sure his old ally gets the credit for the leapfrogging that Aston Martin accomplished this year. However, while doing so, he snubbed Fernando Alonso and his efforts. What did the Red Bull TP say?
Aston Martin’s success has been the story of the current F1 season according to many. Whilst the team has done an amazing job at producing a competitive car, one must not forget the way Fernando Alonso hustles that car around. If one only looks at Lance Stroll’s performances, they’d be fooled into thinking that the AMR23 is a midfield car. Alonso started in the sport around 2 decades ago and has all the experience in the world to extract the maximum out of the car.
Nevertheless, the AMR23 that we’re seeing right now is still a major part of what Sebastian Vettel helped develop last year. The engineers can only work around the driver’s feedback. Usually around the midway point teams start the development of their next year’s contender. So whilst Fernando Alonso is hustling the car, the potential of the AMR23 was all Sebastian Vettel’s hard work from last year. Christian Horner suggested the same as he explained how disappointing it is to not see Vettel reap the fruits of the seeds that were sown by him.

According to SoyMotor.com, Christian Horner said “It must be frustrating for Sebastian [Vettel] to see how Aston Martin is doing this year. He didn’t have a very easy stage there. The truth is that without him, they wouldn’t be where they are this season. He has shared much of his successful experience and now that he is not in Formula 1 he will be enjoying time with his family,”
As Horner advised that without Vettel’s contribution, Aston Martin won’t be where they are, he did indirectly snub the efforts that Fernando Alonso has put in for the team despite being 41 years old. Sebastian Vettel’s love for Red Bull never died and the German will be racing his 2011 challenger during the Red Bull event at the 12H Nurburgring. F1 pundit suggests that this could have a deeper meaning.
Can Sebastian Vettel join Red Bull in a different role?

Sebastian Vettel is a true racer at heart. The German himself revealed that Motorsport is his passion. Both Helmut Marko and Christian Horner have previously claimed that their former 4X World Champion driver is very well suited for a management position in an F1 team. Vettel isn’t just good at racing but is a very knowledgeable man and is liked by everyone. Ted Kravitz has now suggested that the Red Bull event might just be a way for Vettel to get closer to his former team. Vettel might just be offered a management role at Red Bull.
According to Express.co.uk, Ted Kravitz said “Seb Vettel is going to drive an old Red Bull at the Nurburgring. I’m just wondering whether this is Seb closening his ties, strengthening his ties to Red Bull in anticipation of a job with them in the kind of Helmut Marko role into the future.”
