Formula One is currently witnessing amazing popularity amongst the fans. Drivers such as Lewis Hamilton, Sebastian Vettel, and Fernando Alonso are coming to the end of their careers. The sport is in safe hands as drivers such as Max Verstappen and Lando Norris have become the crowd’s favorites. Red Bull team principal Christian Horner also recognized that the sport is in safe hands with the talent of the new generation of drivers.

It’s great for the sport and for the competition: Christian Horner

Drivers such as Max Verstappen, Lando Norris, Charles Leclerc, and George Russell are all leading the top teams in the sport. These drivers, along with Carlos Sainz and Daniel Ricciardo, are pushing each other and the sport to new heights.

“Formula 1 is currently in top form because there are so many strong talents in the GP circus. Max is only 24 years old, and he’s one of a whole bunch of new generation GP riders. These include Charles Leclerc, George Russell, Lando Norris, and also Carlos Sainz,” said Horner.

“There are some drivers who are Max’s age and will compete in Formula 1 in the next few years. It’s great for the sport and for the competition,” concluded Horner.

We have still got to see the likes of George Russell, Lando Norris, and Charles Leclerc have the success that their talent deserves.

Although it would be sad to see the likes of Hamilton and Vettel retire in a few years, it is reassuring to know that the younger generation of drivers is as equally equipped as their predecessors. It is safe to assume that with drivers such as 2021 world champion Max Verstappen leading the sport, Formula One is definitely in safe hands. Let’s gear up for the exciting new future of the sport.
