Remember Christian Horner’s attack on Toto Wolff as seen on the Drive to Survive docuseries? The Red Bull TP asked the Mercedes Boss to change his car amid the porpoising protests. Christian Horner’s personality does come off as a ride-or-die person who’s willing to go above and beyond to make sure his team succeeds. But one wouldn’t expect a person under investigation to appear at a Public launch event, right?

However, a few days ago, sources suggested that Christian Horner would also make an appearance at the RB20 launch event. And the rumors were indeed true, as in the pre-event leaks from the RB20 launch, Christian Horner can be seen with the drivers and other senior members of the team, posing for a picture with the RB20 launch.

While the leak of the RB20 pre-event is major news in itself, Horner’s presence amid the investigation seems to be the bigger one. Earlier this month, after things seemed to be settling down after Lewis Hamilton’s surprise Ferrari move, news around Christian Horner being accused of inappropriate behavior towards an employee dropped like a bomb and Red Bull started an investigation on the same. Soon after, the first meeting was set up between the investigation team and Christian Horner. The meeting went on all day.

One major takeaway from the meeting was that it made clear that the investigation result wouldn’t be out before the car launch. Amid all this, rumors of Christian Horner being asked to resign from the Red Bull came out. It was later suggested that Horner would remain the Team Principal while the investigation continued.

More so, as the 2024 season rages in full force, somewhere along the lines the RB20 got leaked during the shakedown run.

Red Bull’s RB20 leaked testing at the Silverstone

Earlier this week, Max Verstappen revealed key news about the RB20. On his stream, the current World Champion confirmed that the RB20 will look exactly like its predecessor. However, everyone already expected that the Red Bull cars have had the same livery for as long as we can remember.

Nonetheless, the Silverstone leaks provided more insights regarding the design changes of the RB20. While the car was being driven in the rain, an idea of how the water/air mixture made its way around the car was revealed. Also, the RB20 seemed to be featuring new side pods. Much more aggressive compared to the RB19 with a very small opening and a bigger undercut.
