Over 770 F1 drivers competed at the summit of motorsports, however, where hundreds of drivers failed to leave a lasting impression in this harsh world of racing, the team built from the ashes of Jaguar, Red Bull, was fortunate to have two of them. The Milton Keynes team, which is now on a winning streak with its ace driver Max Verstappen has experienced quite the same domination during Sebastian Vettel‘s career. However, recently Christian Horner was seen highlighting a surprising quality in Max Verstappen that sets him apart from the legendary German driver.

Max Verstappen added another victory to his trophy cabinet at the British Grand Prix. although this was the team’s 11th straight victory and Verstappen had won six straight races, the win was just as significant as Red Bull’s 100th triumph. After a thrilling demonstration of focus and pace at the single lap, in which Verstappen narrowly defeated Lando Norris to reclaim the pole position, the race was significantly more entertaining.

As soon as the race began Norris got a lead over Verstappen for almost 5 laps, however, later the Dutchman took back his position and eventually finished at the top. With his victory, Red Bull joined another elite group where only McLaren had previously won 11 straight races, back in 1988. To further illustrate, the Austrian team has won 19 out of the last 20 races. An accomplishment to treasure FOREVER!

Given that Horner had a comparable period of dominance under Vettel’s rule between 2010 and 2013, an extremely intriguing question was recently posed to him at the F1 Nation podcast. The question was, “ Did he [Sebastian] give you the confidence in the cockpit that you’re getting from Max Verstappen?” In response to the query, Horner stated the remarkable quality of Verstappen which gives him the edge over Sebastian Vettel. Horner said, “It’s very similar. I mean different eras and difficult to compare but you know Max has just got this even when he loses a start you just know you know he’s gonna be right there.”

Later while praising Norris’ efforts only to make a direct relation to his theory about Max, the Briton added, “And then McLaren hats off to them they were still very competitive but you know past the race today and it was you know they gave us a real motor race today.”

Ricciardo has been out of an F1 seat for more than a year, however, the Red Bull garage is curious to see how the flamboyant Australian performs in the forthcoming Pirelli tire test. Nevertheless, amidst all this, It is unfortunate to note that Horner crushed the hearts of Ricciardo supporters by dismissing the possibility of the eight-time Grand Prix champion returning to a Red Bull vehicle.

While having a chat with Sky SportsF1, Horner said, ” It’s not something that we’re planning, that’s for certain. I think it would have been a loss to the sport for him just to disappear and I think that I didn’t recognize the Daniel of the last couple of years so I’ll be very interested to see what kind of job he does on Tuesday.”
