Is it true that Lando Norris and Max Verstappen have finally talked to each other? As per the information given by Christian Horner himself, the two friends have had a word. This great news will surely bring relief to the hearts of passionate F1 fans. Ever since the clash at the Austrian GP and the conflict that followed, many had speculated that it was the end of their friendship. But now, bringing an end to all the doubts and rumors, the young drivers had their talk.

But here’s the catch, the tension between the two teams is still at its peak. McLaren team principal, Andrea Stella is furious and continues to bombard Red Bull and Max Verstappen for their poor conduct. Meanwhile, Christian Horner confirmed the two drivers have spoken. In the latest conversation with Sky Sports, the Red Bull boss said: “I understand they’ve spoken already, I don’t think there is any issue. Certainly, from Max’s side, he’s not going to change. There’s an element, I think, of Lando learning how to race Max and they’re discovering that.”

Horner further added that there is going to be closer racing between the two drivers in the forthcoming races. Calling Max a “hard racer” Horner continued: “he’s probably one of the hardest racers on the circuit, and everybody knows that if you’re going to race against Max, he’s going to give as good as he gets.”

Through his words, what Horner might have meant is that Max is a more experienced driver and a tough one. So, in this incident and many more to come in the future, Norris will learn to race like Max or race against Max.

Since the very beginning, Christian Horner backed Max Verstappen. He had previously criticized the 10-second penalty decision on Max. He even called it “harsh.” Horner had pointed out: “It looked like there was enough space up there for Lando and he’d already had the violation with the four-strikes of track limits.” Horner was among the first few to address Norris’ divebomb move which was allegedly one of the reasons for the disaster. On the other hand, Christian Horner’s No. 2, Sergio Perez was stuck between the two Haas cars and ended on P7. An overall lackluster race for Red Bull‘s home Grand Prix.

Despite all odds, Christian Horner looked at the brighter side of the picture. Noting that at the end of the day, both his drivers could secure points. However, Max leads the Drivers’ standings, with Red Bull leading the Constructors’ standings. Nothing much has changed in that case. And now they are aiming at the historical track of Silverstone.  Meanwhile, Lando Norris missed 18 precious points!

Despite the ongoing tension, Norris and Verstappen’s recent conversation signals potential reconciliation following their clashes. Horner’s acknowledgment hints at progress amid fierce competition driving upcoming races. Red Bull, now hungry for that win, would put up a relentless show at the British Grand Prix. McLaren would aim for the same. This ‘Clash of Titans’ is highly anticipated.
