The investigation on Christian Horner seemed to be going on for ages, however, it only began at the start of this month. And before the end of the month, the verdict came. The accusations of inappropriate behavior toward an employee were made in the first week of February and soon an investigation into it was started by the Red Bull Team. And yesterday, the verdict regarding the same came. And now Christian Horner has made the first comments after the verdict.

After a multiple-hour-long meeting with Horner and studying all the facts and evidence, the investigation committee handed over a 100+ page report to Red Bull, who then took the decision on Horner’s future. Horner wasn’t found guilty and was let go of the accusations as he kept the role of the Red Bull Team Principal. But now, the Red Bull TP was asked about the verdict.

Craig Slater got together with Horner to grab a quick word regarding the verdict. Slater asked, “We’ve had the outcome. Obviously, there’s no winners in this, but was this what you expected?” To which Horner replied, “Look, I’m just pleased that the process is over and obviously can’t comment about it but you here to very much focus now on the Grand Prix and the season ahead to try and defend both our titles.”

When asked by Slater whether it was the end of the matter, Horner added, “I can’t give you any further comment but, the process has been conducted and concluded.” Asked if he has any regrets about the investigation becoming public, Horner said, “No, again, I’m not going to be able to give you any further comments on it but I’m pleased to be here in Bahrain and with the team focused on the season ahead.” He continued to add, “Within the team, it’s never been stronger.”

Martin Brundle said, “That statement from Red Bull is drawing a solid line underneath the whole thing. I’ve just read it [Team Statement], but that appears to be their position. Red Bull the parent company have drawn a very thick and firm line… they’re clear, they’ve done a deep investigation, they’ve talked for hours and many pages of documents have been generated. Case complete, over.”
