Just minutes after Nico Rosberg got himself embarrassed when Lewis Hamilton did not properly reply to his “Good to see you”, the Red Bull TP also put the German in his place. Nico Rosberg criticized Sergio Perez’s performance at the Spanish GP. However, the Red Bull boss was having none of it as he slammed Rosberg with fans supporting Horner’s comments.

Sergio Perez’s title-winning hopes keep on fading as the season goes on. After a miserable Monaco GP that the Mexican would like to forget, Barcelona did not bring much joy for the Red Bull driver either. Checo’s struggles at the Spanish GP began early on during the weekend. However, with the ever-changing track condition, the qualifying was shambolic for Perez. The Mexican wasn’t able to fire up his tires and barely made it to Q2. Unfortunately, an excursion in the gravel leading to a poor final run in Q2 meant Checo started P11.

Sergio Perez started the race on mediums with everybody else, except for his teammate on softs. It looked difficult for Checo to get past cars during his first stint, and at one point in time, he was stuck behind Fernando Alonso for a long period. However, when Alonso pitted, Checo had the free air, went long on his first run, and his second run was still respectable as he finished P5.

During the post-race interviews, Nico Rosberg and the Sky Sports team caught up with Christian Horner. As Horner advised that Checo had a good race, Nico Rosberg interrupted him. According to the video uploaded by @QuickStopF1, Nico Rosberg asks Christian Horner “Christian you were saying that he had a good race, but I thought he had quite a lack of performance especially in the early part of the race. Is that true? I mean, really compared to Max, there were some laps where it was quite a gap.” The Red Bull TP replied, “You’re quite a critical kind of guy. You’re tough on these guys. You’re not in the car yet you happen to criticize all the guys”
