How often do you find yourself reading a piece of news which is about Ferrari’s botched-up strategies? We can bet it’s pretty often, maybe every other race weekend. Now imagine what Charles Leclerc has been going through for the last 4 years. He has no choice but to keep working with the team till his contract ends. And as we saw at the British GP, Ferrari pulled a Ferrari once again. Leclerc went from fighting for a podium to fighting to stay at the points. And his post-race radio message sounded very ominous to his fans.

So, let’s see how his race weekend progressed. On Friday, he could only take part in FP1 and not FP2, owing to an electric failure. On Saturday, the qualifying was not bad. McLaren caught every team on the grid off-guard. And the best the 25-year-old could do was a P4 result. On race day at Silverstone, he started well and was holding his position well till the team decided to box in Lap 19 for the Hard tires. And that was probably their biggest mistake because a safety car in lap 33 changed the course of the race.

Instead of pitting for softs, Ferrari brought in Leclerc and sent him back out on the mediums. And that didn’t help at all. Now, both Ferrari drivers were far away from the podium. Eventually, Leclerc finished P9 and his teammate, Carlos Sainz, P10. Another case of ‘not to be’ for the Maranello team. After the race, the Monegasque driver sounded like he was done with the team.

Nothing that his race engineer or any team member could say was encouraging, or even satisfactory for him. When his engineer Xavier Marcos Padros aka Xavi asked him if he needs to know the team’s results, he flat-out denied it. He said, “No. Let’s discuss about everything afterwards.” Who knows how this message went down in the garage, but fans were having none of Ferrari’s balderdash.

You have to wonder what exactly is going wrong within the team. How does one of the most successful Constructors of all time get to a place where they are struggling to get points? What could have been at least a decent weekend was somehow made bad. And if this continues, such a great talent like Charles Leclerc might not wanna stay with the team. And that is the exact thought that is keeping Tifosi up at night. Here are the fans who were completely against Ferrari‘s consistent mismanagement and sympathizing with Leclerc:
