A lot can change in a year, but a lot can change in two weeks as well. Ferrari turned up in Montreal in a car that looked much closer to Red Bull, Mercedes, and Aston Martin in pace. With one of their best results of the season with a P4 and P5, the Scuderia looked to carry on the momentum into the Austrian GP. And it did. With a further upgraded car, the Maranello outfit achieved its best result so far, with Charles Leclerc in P2 and Carlos Sainz in P6. And the Tifosi thanked a fan Leclerc had an unexpected rendezvous with.

A little more than a week ago, Charles Leclerc headed to Napoli, Italy, and met a priest. Rewind 10 years. A 15-year-old Charles was asked if he believed in God. He said no. But now, at 25, he might want to have changed his mind. The priest told him he would pray for Leclerc occasionally, considering Ferrari’s performance hadn’t been that great. And Charles replied with a polite thank you.

Now that Leclerc and Ferrari achieved their best result of the year in Austria, the Tifosi believe the priest’s prayers worked. And after the priest took to Instagram to congratulate the Monegasque, fans couldn’t stop obsessing over the entire scenario!

Charles Leclerc fans thank the priest for his prayers

After Leclerc’s P2 finish (and only his second podium of the year), the priest posted a picture with Charles from their meeting last week and captioned it, “let’s go, the best is yet to come. thank god.” Needless to say, fans couldn’t stop gushing over how big a Ferrari and Leclerc fan the priest is and asked him for a few more favors.

Many fans pointed out that his prayers from a week ago worked and helped Leclerc clinch a podium. They thanked him for praying and believing in Charles.

A few fans demanded that the priest prays for Leclerc every race weekend in hopes that the Ferrari driver would achieve results as he did in Austria more often.

Although Leclerc isn’t religious (if what he said at 15 is still true), one fan asked him to convert into a religious person and visit the priest every chance he got.

While most fans were praying for more such results, a few fans were showing their love for the priest, especially for the post he made.

One fan claimed they were crying because of the post.

And another pointed out the tags the priest mentioned in the post, which only made the gesture more wholesome.
