Charles Leclerc made the whole principality proud by being the first Monegasque driver to win a home race in Formula 1. This is the third time that the driver has started from pole position and only the first time that he has maintained the lead until the end of the race. Oscar Piastri was right on his tail the whole time, and though it was a difficult race, Leclerc brought home the trophy.
The last driver to win a race who was not Max Verstappen also had a first, with it being his first Grand Prix victory, and Lando Norris celebrated his big day all night long. Charles Leclerc’s victory was a first at Monaco, and this calls for a celebration. After the race, Charles Leclerc revealed his plans for what he would be doing after the victory, and it’s not surprising that partying is on the list.

This year, in just 8 races, we have seen 4 different winners, which already surpasses last year’s record of 22 GP weekends. Charles Leclerc is our newest winner of the season, and the sound of celebrations will echo across Monaco. It looks like the Ferrari GP winner is ready to take things to the next level with his party, and he revealed this during a post-race interview with Sky Sports.
On finishing the race, Leclerc was overjoyed and that was clear as he spoke to Sky Sports. He told them, “It’s an amazing feeling. Until now, I’ve never said that it would be a victory like others and I’ve always said emotionally, it will have an added value. However, I did not expect it to be that much.”
Explaining his condition towards the end of the race, Leclerc said, “Two or three laps from the end, I came out of the tunnel and I realized that actually, I was struggling to see because my eyes were starting to cry a little bit and I was like, ‘Charles, you cannot afford to do that now. You still have two or three laps to finish to get the win’.”
Despite starting from pole twice at the Monaco circuit, he had not won a race there as he explained, “Twice I’ve started on pole and haven’t managed to finish it, and then everything that has happened personally. I’m overall just so incredibly happy.” He concluded the interview by saying, “However, tonight I’m going to party like an animal. I need to have a discount for tonight.”

Monaco GP Top 10 Race Analysis
We know that Charles Leclerc won the race, as the echoes of his celebrations might just be heard at your home from across the globe. However, Oscar Piastri and Carlos Sainz finished on the podium too, which was an amazing result for both teams. Surprisingly, there was not a Red Bull near the top 3, as P4 was Lando Norris, who had his car on the tail of his close friend Sainz.

Now, one thing to note about the Monaco Grand Prix is that none of the positions in the top 10 changed during the entirety of the race. The grid remained the same in the top 10 as it was at the start of the race, with George Russell leading Max Verstappen at P5 as the Red Bull champion finishes his season-worst, P6.

Lewis Hamilton came in at P7 and managed to lap Yuki Tsunoda at P8. The next two drivers have made their debut this season in the top 10 of a race, with Alex Albon coming in at P9 and Pierre Gasly at P10. Both the drivers brought home some points for the teams that had been struggling with 0 since the start of the season.
