Taking to racquet sport is probably a thing between Formula 1 drivers. In season 5 of Netflix’s docuseries, Drive to Survive, ex teammates and current best friends, Lando Norris and Carlos Sainz were seen indulging in a game of Padel or as some may call it Pop Tennis. And now the other set of best friends, including the Ferrari driver, Charles Leclerc and new Alpine recruit, Pierre Gasly, have taken to the court. The duo let off steam post Bahrain Pre Season Testing, but it didn’t go as planned for the Ferrari driver. Perhaps a repeat of Ferrari’s 2022 frustrations.

Ferrari saw the worst season so far in 2022. Odd saying that for a team who finished ahead of 8 out of 10 teams on the grid, but true. Reportedly, the Monegasque along with his friend Gasly indulged in a sport that wasn’t racing. The duo took to the Tennis court to spend some fun time before the inception of the season. However, Charles showcased the repeat of 2022 French GP in terms of his emotions during the detour. As told by Leclerc himself, not being able to get a hang of the game he broke the tennis racquet.

The interviewer asked the duo, “What have you been doing since testing?”

To which Charles replied, “Tennis… I will prefer not to speak about it. I broke my first racket before yesterday, because of the frustration…” And Gasly chimed in, “Ah, you’re very relaxed!” To which Leclerc added, “Tennis made me a bit anxious.”

The displeased reaction from the Monegasque is something that struck a chord with the fans.

Fans find a “relatable” emotion in Charles Leclerc’s outburst

The cool, calm, sweet boy at Ferrari unleashed the exasperated side of him when he couldn’t wrap his head around the game of his idol, Rafael Nadal. F1 Twitter erupted to share the emotions of the Ferrari driver.
