The Formula 1 season ended in a thrilling battle as Sergio Perez hunted down Charles Leclerc to finish P2 in the race as well as the WDC championship. The Monegasque held off the Mexican driver by the skin of his teeth as he finished runner-up to Max Verstappen.

After a great start to the season where Leclerc won 2 of the first 4 races, his title challenge was cut short by the Red Bull of Max Verstappen. Furthermore, mistakes by their drivers and poor strategic planning from the Maranello team cost them the WCC. They held their nerve in the final race of the season, after a late charge by Mercedes for the P2 position.

Despite improving on last year’s result, Ferrari has had a tough time since the season ended. They recently also announced that team principal Mattia Binotto had resigned from his role and will seek pastures new. The Italian who took charge in 2019 led them and Charles Leclerc to a P2 finish in respective championships.

Moreover, there were rumors about Leclerc, and Binotto’s relationship going sour before his resignation. However, the Ferrari driver penned a heartfelt tribute to his boss.

Things can certainly take a toll on anyone after such incidents. Subsequently, the Ferrari driver was enjoying his time off with his adorable pet. He even shared a selfie with his dog and shared it on his social media.

Leclerc’s picture with his pet sent F1 fans on Twitter into a meltdown. Additionally, fans drooled over the Monegasque as well as his pet dog. They took to the social media platform to share their opinions.

Fans were elated as Charles delighted them with “dog content”. 

One fan even questioned if the dog looked like Charles Leclerc.

Consequently, some fans even suggested it was the “best thing’ they had ever seen.

Fans also found Leclerc’s teammate, Carlos Saiz with his dog, and shared it on Twitter.

Leclerc will hope to challenge Max Verstappen for the title next season. The former Sauber driver has the potential and the skills to do it. However, Ferrari will have to massively cut down on their mistakes in order to stay in the hunt. Can Charles Leclerc end the Ferrari drought and win the title next year?
