Ferrari ‘Golden Boy’ Charles Leclerc is the only name on everyone’s lips. The charismatic Monegasque has dominated the past three races and now won two of them following his win Down Under.
Australian Grand Prix definitely saw Leclerc competing in another league of his own. The closest rival, Max Verstappen, was almost 5-6 seconds behind and knew that there was no catching up to that.

The 24-year-old has been a joy to watch. Though he is the one of leading title contenders this year, the driver’s aura made him a fan favorite a long while ago. Moreover, the Maranello camp is much loved, and it’s safe to say, literally everyone is happy with them dominating this season.

Do you care about these things [Grand Slam]?
Charles: "Not really. At the end what matters is that I crossed the finish line first. Obviously it’s always nice and it shows how good of a job we have done with a statistic like this. But yeah it doesn’t matter that much to me." https://t.co/CDj0dmwRvV— tami. (@Vetteleclerc) April 10, 2022
There’s one thing about winning a Grand Prix and another about winning it in style. Charles claimed his second Grand Slam yesterday as he set the fastest lap, won from the pole and led every lap. Honestly, we’re not shocked. Humble as ever, Leclerc also denied these records, bothering him too much. “But yeah it doesn’t matter that much to me” was a modest end to his statement.

While it is too early to claim a winner of this season, Leclerc has begun to set himself apart. He is unbelievably almost double the points ahead of Verstappen and no one even comes close to challenging the young driver. Not even his teammate Carlos Sainz, who had a rough Australian weekend. Seems like Leclerc starts his chassis, sets off to drive, and is left unbothered for the rest of the race.
The Monegasque has also very smartly understood the tactics of Verstappen. Under the safety car circumstances, we’ve seen him trying to confuse and squeeze Max before he can make a move. The Dutchman, who never needs a second invitation, will not take time to overtake and leave you in shambles. However, RB-18 is proving to be a little unreliable, while Leclerc is proving to be smarter than Verstappen.
