No matter what sport and athlete we talk about, there is always a sacred ritual in the build-up to the main event. The ritual can stem from superstition or it can be logical. So it did not come as a surprise when the Ferrari men, Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz, revealed they too have a pre-race ritual.

The two Ferrari men will hope their pre-race rituals bring them good fortune during their home race, as they’ve had some poor luck recently. Ahead of last weekend’s Dutch GP, the two Ferrari pilots sat down with the PitStop podcast crew and spilled the beans on their pre-race rituals.

Charles Leclerc revealed, “I have quite a lot of things that I do, especially this year I’ve introduced cold bath. I’ve got a cold bath at the track, especially for hot races. — So once we get into the car, it’s extremely warm. You sweat a lot, but if you do the cold bath before, it helps you to feel much better inside the car.”

Not just Leclerc, the Spaniard, Carlos Sainz also got in on the fun. Sainz went into detail about how hot the car gets before the race even begins. Hence, the ice baths are definitely the saving grace for the Ferrari men before hot races.

We are all aware of the ice baths being a staple for most F1 drivers. However, the ritual has caught the attention of the masses as the fans want to see more of it.

Photos of Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz’s ice baths are in demand

Ferrari often shares photos of Charles Leclerc dipping into the ice-cold tub before the race to get his body temperatures down. However, the Scuderia would not have assumed they were starting a trend with these seemingly innocent pictures.

The fans of the Monegasque cannot get enough of the shirtless ice bath photos as demands are soaring to see more of the same.

The hilarious reactions tell us how obsessed some fans are with the pictures of the shirtless Monegasque in a tub. The pre-race ritual is not for Leclerc alone; he’s doing a service to the fans with his ice baths.
