It is not yet a curtain call on Ferrari for the 2024 season. The Prancing Horses are hoping to return to the game as soon as possible. And Hungaroring could be the potential turning point. Precisely speaking, Charles Leclerc is keeping faith in his team. Keeping aside the horrendous last four races, he is willing to restart with a fresh mindset. Moreover, Ferrari is ready to support the ‘Golden Boy’ in his endeavors for the team.
The Monaco GP was probably the last time Charles smiled after a race. Since then, things have gone downhill. Canada to Silverstone has been nothing less than nightmares. Ferrari’s recent upgrades haven’t been favorable for the drivers. But, on the other hand, Sainz has been doing pretty decent! While some things are working for the Spaniard, the Monegasque is facing troubles.
Now is the time to overcome all adversities. It is time to reclaim the top position and Leclerc is not ready to back down, no matter what. “Looking back, the last four races have been very, very difficult, especially on my side. We’ve got quite extreme on set-up to try and cure the bouncing we’ve had since Barcelona,” the 26-year-old noted. Adding, he said: “However, when it’s like this you also learn a lot and I’m confident we’ll make a step forward.” He further says, “I still believe the highest targets are possible, which means the championship.” When questioned: “Really?” He replied with an iron-strong conviction, “Yes, I do.”

Yes, it is never too late to pick up the scattered pieces and fix the puzzle, isn’t it? Charles Leclerc knows how to do it. Considered one of the fastest drivers on the present grid, he is a ‘wonder-kid’. Leclerc’s experience over the years has strengthened his bond with Ferrari. On the other hand, what is going terribly wrong with the Maranello-based team lately?

Following a successful Monaco Grand Prix, Ferrari introduced a comprehensive upgrade package for Barcelona. Unfortunately, that seemed to backfire more than benefit. Both drivers were heard complaining about bouncing with the revamped SF-24. Moreover, this wasn’t the first time the Ferrari boys were complaining about this. In previous F1 editions, the Red Squad has struggled with the bouncing problem. Ferrari fixed this issue early in the season, but since the Spanish GP, things have reverted to the old problems.
Charles Leclerc seems to have been suffering the most. For two consecutive races, he has been outside the top 10. This means only Carlos Sainz‘s performance contributed to the score tally. Meanwhile, a dejected Leclerc has had enough! But the question here is: Will Ferrari succeed in mending the root cause?
Tifosi would love to see their favorites go back to the top and fight for the titles. At the same time, to analyze practically, it is easier said than done. A recent analysis of Ferrari’s performance drop says that the SF-24 cars will do better in slow and medium-paced tracks. The real problem will show up on fast-paced tracks like Belgium.

But before that, Charles Leclerc is focusing on the Hungarian GP. He is ready to maximize the results and bring a smile to Tifosis’ faces. However, the struggles cannot be ignored. Ferrari must work up and see what works best for their drivers. It is time to get back on track and cross the chequered flag before anyone else.
