“Lewis deserved this record. He was extremely consistent over the past few years and always fought for top positions. On the one hand, it is of course sad that Michael’s record is being set, but Lewis has worked for it and I’m happy for him if he should make it,” said Leclerc.

Ferrari had an unfortunate Sunday at Mugello again!

Leclerc was further questioned about his weekend at Mugello. The team along with the racers had a pleasing Saturday. However, their Sunday was no different from other race days. Though Leclerc gathered some speed, others soon overtook him.

“It always feels very good to be a Ferrari driver, especially when the race is a home game. But the performance wasn’t what we wanted it to be, and it’s difficult right now. I had a good Saturday, which was great, but on Sunday it was a lot more difficult,” admitted the young Monegasque.
