Recently, Charles Leclerc met up with his team principal Mattia Binotto. The duo was reportedly in Monaco and caught up for dinner when fans spotted them heading out. But what could be the reason behind the meetup?

Many fans assumed a lot of things about Leclerc and Binotto’s meet. While Ferrari had a great week in Britain, Leclerc individually did not enjoy it.

He ended his race P4 after looking like a possible race winner at one point. Strikingly, team tensions were at an all-time high during the British GP.

Now Twitter fans have reacted to the video of Leclerc and Binotto emerging out of a place. They went in for a last hug before we see Leclerc rushing to leave the place. There have been very different reactions altogether to this incident. However, several believe that this was Binotto’s way of assuring Leclerc that the Maranello camp backs him.

The Italian boss has always had words of appreciation for his two drivers. Previously calling them “the best line-up on the grid”, the Scuderia boss was convinced that both Sainz-Leclerc will live up to the billing in the future.

However, after the British GP, things have looked a little different. Notably, it was a monumental decision when Ferrari decided to pit Sainz under the safety car, but not Leclerc.

The rest is history, as the Spaniard took his first F1 victory in Silverstone. While his Monegasque teammate congratulated him, Leclerc did look extremely distraught and angry. Wheel-to-wheel battles had pushed the driver three places down after he faced a tire disadvantage and couldn’t keep up.

A viral moment emerged post-race as well. We saw Binotto stopping Leclerc in his tracks and giving him some kind of stern directions. Leclerc later confirmed that Binotto instructed him not to talk about the pit stop. While Sainz’s win was a happy moment, many Ferrari fans felt for the 24-year-old who was actually faster during the first part of the race.
