The last race at Silverstone saw Carlos Sainz record his first-ever win in F1. Although it was a moment of major joy for the Spaniard and Ferrari. Certain incidents after the race led to fingers being pointed toward the team and their camaraderie.
There was an incident after the race where the entire team did not make it into Sainz’s victory picture. Fans also saw Mattia Binnoto finger-wagging which led them to question the team. At the driver’s press conference ahead of the Austrian GP, Charles Leclerc was questioned about it.

Leclerc said, “It is a shame to see all of these type of things because it is definitely not what is happening inside the team”. He went on to add, “We are a very united team and we have always been. It is not these difficult races that will make it change.”
Leclerc clarified the whole photograph ordeal. He said, “Half the team that stayed for the picture missed the plane to go back home”. He further explained that some unforeseen delays in getting the photo clicked were the reason for half the team missing from the snap.
Leclerc had a disappointing end to his race at Silverstone where he went on to finish P4. The Monegasque sits P3 in the driver standings, just 11 points ahead of teammate Sainz. This has prompted fans to speculate if there is a power shift going on at Ferrari.

Charles Leclerc enjoyed a great start to the 2022 season. However, recently his fortunes have dwindled as he failed to finish on the podium in the last 5 races. On the other hand, teammate, Carlos Sainz has continued his consistent string of performances. The Spaniard even secured his first F1 victory and has closed the gap in the driver standings to 11 points.
This has led fans to question as to who Ferrari will be backing in the drivers standings given the duos’ recent string of results. Leclerc was posed with the same question ahead of the Austrian GP. Leclerc said, “It is more Mattia who answers this type of questions.” He added, “I feel the support of the team, of course in the last few races haven’t gone my way”.
