On the other hand, it was yet another disappointing outing for Ferrari. Pole-sitter Carlos Sainz met with yet another disappointing incident. After the start of the race, the Spaniard made contact with George Russell in the first corner of the circuit. Charles Leclerc, however, finished 3rd behind Max and Lewis to bring home important points for them.
Lewis Hamilton was ever so close to his first GP win this season. However, Max overtook the Mercedes legend in the latter stages of the race to bring home yet another win for himself.
Moreover, after the race in the cool-down room, Charles Leclerc questioned Hamilton about the incident. Charles said, “What happened to Carlos?” Lewis Hamilton was surprised by the question as he blatantly said, “Uh, George took him out.”
F1 Twitter could not contain their laughter as Leclerc questioned the Silver Arrows driver regarding the Russell-Sainz incident.
