Charles Leclerc Kept Max Verstappen’s Original Secret Santa Gift to Himself, Coming in Clutch With Internet Hit at the Last Minute

Nearing Christmas Eve, F1 motorists were spotted taking part in the tradition of F1 driver secret Santa. The day is one of the most exciting since every driver has been tasked with giving a gift to a fellow driver. And much like on the circuits, drivers who were placed in the top two this year were in the spotlight.

In a video posted to the F1’s YouTube channel, drivers can be seen enjoying a great time during the off-season. While the clip was nearing its end Max Verstappen was seen unwrapping a gift by Charles Leclerc in which the Monegasque had chosen an epic present to gift the Dutchman. But yesterday when Charles Leclerc arrived at the WTF interview, the Monegasque confessed to having preserved the initial secret Santa gift that he had planned to deliver to Max Verstappen.

In the interview, Leclerc said, “I just had a flashback now. I forgot to buy the gift for Max because I got him in the secret Santa. Yeah, I might give him a Kazoo. Matt quickly stand up and picked a packet full of different colours of Kazoo and asked the Monegasque,” A fresh one and what color would you like to give? Leclerc responded, “He loves the purple.” Concluding the segment Gallagher said, ” Max Verstappen’s secret Santa sorted.”

For those who are unfamiliar, a Kazoo is a musical instrument that produces a buzzing sound when its user hums it.

As seen in the video posted by the Formula 1 YouTube channel, Verstappen guessed what might be the gift as he held the present and said, “this must be something to play for sure and it must be Fifa.” After removing the gift wrapping, the Dutch ace got delighted and said, “that’s a nice one. I definitely know who it came from and who it is. It’s a nice one, Charles.” The Dutchman couldn’t hold his laugh while reading the message one edition for my ‘biggest fan.‘

While Leclerc was creative to give Verstappen an innovative gift, he too received a nice present from Alfa Romeo’s Zhou Guanyu. It was a nice Chinese tea set which was appreciated by the Monegasque as he said, “It’s a beauty. Zhou Thank you so much for this gift.”
