Charles Leclerc is one of the most talented drivers on the grid. He has seen a meteoric rise since his debut in 2018. The Monegasque also looked to be in prime position at the beginning of the season. However, a recent string of misfortune has doused his flaming hot form.

The last few rounds have seen the Red Bull duo of Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez overtake Leclerc in the driver’s standings. However, Charles remains positive about his chances in the title fight.
The Monegasque also recently made an admission about his diary that he carries around during the practice session.
Charles Leclerc and his practice diary
Fans can often see Charles Leclerc carrying a personal diary during most practice sessions. This has led to the fans pondering as to what the driver pens down in between sessions. Leclerc revealed recently the answer to that question in an interview with the Italian newspaper ‘la Repubblica’.
The Ferrari driver was posed the question “What do you write in the notebooks you read during practice?“. Leclerc replied, “Everything: my feelings about the car and the things I want to try on the track. I get lots of ideas so I write them down so I don’t forget them.”

He went on to add, “And I write them down in pen so I’m sure I can find them again before I used to use an app on my tablet that often erased everything.” The fans found this admission of Leclerc’s struggle with technology hilarious.
Leclerc’s flaming hot start to 2022 hits roadblocks
Charles Leclerc had started 2022 in fine form winning 2 out of the opening 3 races. He was in prime position in the title race and was touted to run away with the title. However, the last few rounds have seen Max Verstappen and now Sergio Perez both get ahead of the Monegasque in the standings.

Although, this has been due to major misfortune on Leclerc’s end. To add to his woes he faced a power unit issue that forced him to retire in Baku. Now Leclerc will be hoping for a good showing in Canada this weekend as he aims to keep his title chances alive.
