It is all going well for the hometown hero Charles Leclerc in Monaco. The Ferrari driver led both practice sessions yesterday and had a decent gap from his rivals in terms of performance. But late in FP2, it looked like the Monegasque driver had finished his session early without doing the high fuel long runs.
With just 12 minutes to go, Leclerc jumped out of his cockpit when he was in his garage.

The way he ran out of the garage, it was clear that he had to use the washroom. He asked his race engineer if he had to time loosen himself up. “Is there time to go to the toilet?” asked Charles. To this, his race engineer replied in the affirmative.

This is not the first time that the Ferrari driver has asked his race engineer if he can visit the washroom during a session. This also happened in the last race in Spain and in Spa last year.
Charles: Can I go to the toilet?
Xavier: We have 5 minute max, so has to be quick.

“It was not great in FP1; a bit better in FP2. But I really think that we need to do another step for tomorrow because I’m pretty sure that everyone has got quite a bit of margin on a Friday and also as drivers, so it’s a bit of the unknown for now,” said Leclerc.
“The car looks strong, also in the race pace. We seem to be good even though there was quite a bit of traffic. But the initial feeling is good. Hopefully, we can do the step that we want to do from tomorrow, and have a great weekend from that,” said the Ferrari driver.
