Absolute chaos! These words perfectly sum up the third race of the year which turned into a three Red flags show. As the race went on, it appeared that the top three would be determined to finish at the top. Nonetheless, after that, we witnessed Fernando Alonso blasting his fellow countryman Carlos Sainz’s shenanigans at the last red flag of the race. The pair, who yesterday criticized Mercedes for hyping their struggle, may now be each other’s biggest enemy. So what happened at Albert park, that these two got indulged in a spat?
In Formula 1, hardly many drivers are native to the same country. Yet, we are fortunate to have two talented drivers who work well together. Fernando Alonso and Carlos Sainz have a strong friendship, as the former has been a mentor to the latter and also has shared a great bond with Sainz’s father. And just yesterday they were debating that Mercedes was hiding their actual potential and only exaggerating their difficulties.

The friendship between Fernando Alonso and Carlos Sainz appears to be at risk, as we saw Alonso become enraged on the team radio today at the Australian Grand Prix. After his start at P4 behind the Mercedes duo, the 41-year-old was on track for his third podium. As the race went on, he moved to third when Mercedes botched the strategy of George Russell, and he continued to pressure Hamilton in the closing laps.
Kevin Magnussen of Haas, though, collided with the barrier during the final laps, resulting in the third red flag being raised and adding extra drama to the race. Alonso, who was attempting to overtake Hamilton during the final two laps of the race, spun out after being bumped by Carlos Sainz. This incident later resulted in Carlos Sainz getting a 5-second penalty, which truly demonstrates how Karma works. Later on, fans were quick to notice the drama and exploded the Twitter comments section with various reactions.
Carlos Sainz’s antics at Albert Park can ruin his relationship with Fernando Alonso
Ferrari had a challenging day, as they finished with no points. Leclerc first had a DNF, and Sainz who until the last lap battle was at P4 later received a 5-second penalty that dropped him to P12 in the standings. Fans have quoted his suffering as his karma. Given below are some reactions.

Later, 2009 champion Jenson Button also poked fun while commenting that it was good that Alonso was back to the P3 as per the FIA regulation, which might have given Sainz a sense of relief.
🎙️| Jenson Button:
“Carlos Sainz will be very relieved [that Alonso is back to P3]. After he binned his best friend and hero out of the race.”
