Ferrari announced earlier last season that Carlos Sainz will replace Sebastian Vettel in 2021. The Spaniard landed a dream two-year contract with the Maranello based outfit. Ferrari is a legendary team, and like all their drivers, he’s coming in with a career goal in mind. In a recent interview, Sainz clarified what it is.

The Spaniard recently completed his first Formula 1 practice run with the Red team this week. The Ferrari newcomer’s preparations for next season are going strong as he shares his ultimate goal of winning the championship with Ferrari.

He said, “Since the very first day I started racing, I had two goals in mind: to become a Formula 1 driver and win the world title. After I achieved the first goal, all my focus and effort is now on reaching the second.”

Carlos Sainz wants to bring Ferrari back to the glory

Ferrari has had a difficult 2020 year, recording their worst season since 1980. They finished with 131 points in P6 position of the championship standing, scraping the bottom of the midfield.

Sainz made it clear that he wants to change Ferrari’s current position in F1. He said, “I want to help build a winning team, bring Scuderia back to the front where it belongs and win the world title.”

Every team has difficult moments at one point or another. It’s about the ability to fight back. Ferrari is the most successful team in the history of the sport. There is a reason for that. I’m sure that the team will win again at some point,.”

Carlos Sainz has talked a lot about his plans with Ferrari in the future. He hopes to get together well with the team, management, and his teammate, Charles Leclerc. Tt is important for him to have a good start with Ferrari to eventually with a championship with the team.
