Let’s start with Carlos Sainz Sr, the father of the Ferrari driver. Carlos Sainz Sr, known as “El Matador”, is a legendary figure in the world of Rally Racing. Sainz Sr is a two-time rally champion racer who won championship titles in 1990 and 1992. Following his retirement from WRC, Sainz Sr. transitioned to cross-country rallying, where he continued to excel.

Sainz Sr. showcased his skill by driving the brand-new Audi RS Q e-tron at the 2022 Dakar Rally. Early on in 2024, at the age of 61, Sainz Sr. made history by becoming the oldest driver to win the Dakar Rally. He has multiple wins across years 2010, 2018, 2020, and 2024 in the world of Rally racing. He was recently given the Honorary Motor Prize along with his son as a recognition from the city of Jerez.

Next in line is Sainz Jr’s mother, Reyes Vázquez de Castro, who has been a pillar of support for Carlos Sainz Sr. throughout their 28 years of marriage. Despite the demands of Sainz Sr.’s racing career, Reyes prioritized the well-being of their family, taking care of their three children—Blanca, Carlos, and Ana—while he pursued his passion for motorsport.

Carlos Sainz Jr. has two sisters, Ana and Blanca. As the daughter of Carlos Sainz Sr., Ana Sainz is part of a prominent racing family with deep roots in motorsport. Ana recently tied the knot with Rodrigo Fontcuberta in a lavish ceremony that Carlos Sainz Jr attended.

Blanca, his other sister, also recently tied the knot in June 2023. Her husband is Guillermo Comenge and Carlos Sainz Jr. made it a point to be there for the wedding too. The wedding ceremony took place at the picturesque Santiago Apóstol church in Cebreros (Ávila). Lucky for Sainz Jr, there was no race during the weekend of the wedding, which made it possible for him to attend. Although there is not much known about his sisters as they have decided to keep their lives private, Carlos Sainz Jr makes it a point to stay in touch with them.
