There may be a second career in waiting for the Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz if he ever decides to hang his gloves in F1. The Spanish driver stared at a Charity Football match in Monaco recently as he helped his team get back in the match.

Sainz was the best player on the field as he scored a brace (2 goals) on the night. He was representing the F1 Drivers Team at the Star Team for the Children football event. Alongside him were fellow F1 drivers like his Ferrari teammate Charles Leclerc, Pierre Gasly, Fernando Alonso, and F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali.
Aside from being talented in football, Sainz is an ardent supporter of Real Madrid FC. He has also often showcased skills with his feet in the F1 paddock while warming up before getting in his car.

But Carlos would like to have the confidence in his car than on the football pitch right now. He is struggling massively in the 2022 season despite being in a championship-contending car.
With frequent mistakes and back-to-back retirements in Australia and Imola, he is currently 5th in the championship. But his teammate Charles Leclerc recently stated that he can understand Sainz’s struggles this season.
Carlos Sainz gets support from Ferrari teammate amidst his struggles
Leclerc, who is in P2 in the championship, revealed he is struggling less with porpoising as compared to his Spanish teammate. Leclerc mentioned that Sainz is more sensitive to the issue and is struggling with setup.

“I think it depends on drivers because Carlos seems to be a bit more sensitive to it, compared to me, where I don’t struggle as much–but I definitely agree with him, that it should be something that shouldn’t happen with those cars,” said Leclerc.

It is true that the Spanish driver is struggling a lot more with porpoising as compared to his teammate. Moreover, he has not been on pace with Charles since the beginning of the season.
