The much-awaited Drive To Survive Season 4 is finally available on Netflix. And amid the great hype of the series, we recently got to hear the thoughts of one of the show’s biggest stars, Carlos Sainz. The Ferrari driver shared that he likes the concept of Drive to Survive, but doesn’t like the drama in it.
Undoubtedly, Formula One is a world-famous sport with an ever-growing fanbase. Moreover, this docuseries from Netflix and F1 has played a huge role in drastically increasing the popularity of the sport, especially in countries like the United States.

However, the series has always faced a lot of criticism for the build-up controversies or rivalries. Even Carlos Sainz expressed not liking the rivalry they showed between him and his former-teammate Lando Norris in season 3.
Therefore, the Spaniard wants Netflix to make the series more realistic. But Sainz also believes that Netflix’s involvement only helps F1 to grow bigger. Thus, hew will appear in future seasons if they ask him to appear.
“I still think that even with this mistake, if you want to call it a mistake, Netflix is a good thing for our sport.” Carlos Sainz shared. “I still think Netflix is a good thing for me, for the Formula 1 brand.”
The Ferrari driver further shared, “I will continue to be there if they wish. Other than that, I don’t have much to add. I haven’t watched this year so I have no idea what’s going on in the fourth season.”
Carlos Sainz dismisses Lewis Hamilton’s praises
The pre-season testing in Bahrain is over and all the F1 teams are back to their bases to prepare for the first race. Every team put up a commendable performance, but Mercedes. The Silver Arrows weren’t much impressive at the second round of the pre-season testing. On the other hand, the legendary Italian team, Ferrari, got everyone’s attention with their magnificent performance.
Even the Mercedes drivers complimented the Ferrari drivers for their impressive runs in Bahrain. Further, the seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton even favored the Italian f1 team for a top-two finish in the Bahrain GP. However, the Ferrari man Carlos Sainz rejects all those praises and claims Mercedes will repeat the history.

Carlos Sainz reported, “If it would be the first year they’ve done it then I would maybe believe them but they’ve done it for five or six years now and they keep surprising us in the first race.”
The Spaniard added. “As you can imagine I don’t believe much. … We can see what they are doing [on track] and I’m not going to say much.”
