With the win in the 2022 Japanese Grand Prix, Max Verstappen picked up his second F1 world title. The Dutchman who drives for Red Bull enjoys a fair bit of advantage, thanks to Red Bull’s superior straight-line speed. However, that’s not all, as his former teammate Pierre Gasly once shared the advantage of being Max Verstappen or being with Max Verstappen.

Talking about this in an interview, the current AlphaTauri driver conveyed, “We were flying with a sea-plane and the guy (pilot) started to go completely nuts, so we were like screaming inside the plane as the Pilot was doing, I don’t know flips and crazy turns in the sky.”

I mean, we felt safe because Max was there, so we know they can’t f**k it up if Max is in the plane.”

Max Verstappen is undoubtedly one of the best drivers on the circuit in today’s time. The Dutchman not only proved his mettle last year by winning the 2021 championship but also reassured everyone of his capabilities by retaining his title in 2022. Max Verstappen might leave Red Bull despite a long contract

The Dutchman who started his career with Toro Rosso [current AlphaTauri], the sister team to Red Bull, and then shifted to the main team, might one day leave it. This might come as shocking to the fans, however, Mika Hakkinen has enough reasons for that.

In his Unibet video column, former F1 world champion Hakkinen wrote that Verstappen might leave Red Bull to settle elsewhere before he retires. Even though the 25-year-old driver is under contract with the Milton-Keynes-based team till 2028, there are still chances for him to leave.

Hakkinen is of the opinion that, as seen with Lewis Hamilton, Michael Schumacher, and Sebastian Vettel who left their team to find success elsewhere, Verstappen might follow in their steps.

He said, “I don’t think Max Verstappen will stay with Red Bull for the rest of his career. That’s just my opinion.”

“But historically, drivers have often switched teams for various reasons, even if they had multiple titles with one specific team. That could be financial reasons, or simply because they were ready for a new environment”.
