The British Grand Prix is just hours away from our screen. However, this time around, the format for a normal weekend will be a little different, as starting on Friday we will have a practice session and later a qualifying session.
However, the F1 format is not the only one changing as along with it the timings and most importantly the weather can change, giving a dose of excitement to the fans at Silverstone.
When will the qualifying session take place?

This Friday session will be like no other session seen in Formula One, as there will be only one practice session today, followed by a qualifying session.
So what time to catch the action-packed quali session? Well, for the British GP, the qualifying session will take place at 10:30 PM IST, while British fans can catch the action at 6:00 PM GMT, and American viewers can tune in at 1:00 PM.
With the timings, sort it out, where to watch the quali session? Sky Sports and Channel 4 have the broadcasting rights for Formula One in the UK, while Americans will tune in to ESPN. While the Indian fans base will have to watch Star Sports.
The alternative option is to stream the action by having a subscription to the official Formula One app, or through the Sky Sports app.

What is the weather for the race at Silverstone?
At the previous venues of this season, as rain was always predicted but never came. However, fans wouldn’t have to get false hopes up as there is very little chance of showers happening during the quali session.
The temperature is predicted to be cool throughout the session in the evening, but there will be winds reaching a speed of 10kmph. With rain out of the equation for Friday’s session, and will hope that all twenty drivers on the grid can put on a spectacular show that will make things exciting.
